Revival, Zzap and the next SWAG
It’s been a while since we posted, so firstly our next meeting is October 12th back at Chipping Sodbury and we will be back with some changes to the hall, we now have access to some council chambers and we are now considering if we can include that in the price we currently have set. Over the years we have been struggling for room and this could be an answer to getting a few more people in and keeping a competitive price which includes a sandwich lunch.
A few months ago now we were at Revival, Game not Over at Wolverhampton Racecourse, we had a double day and I (with help from James) came along with my new venture with Arcade cabinets, however we had many of you who came and showcased your Amiga’s between Amiga North Thames, Kickstart Group and Yorkshire Amiga. We also were kindly looked after by Craig Turner and his crew and that was a very successful event, many thanks for inviting us and those who put an amiga on show will receive some vouchers for use on the SWAG site as Craig made a generous donation to SWAG, these will be sent out before the tickets go on sale sometime in August and if you use the donation then that is a thanks from us too but if you do not use it, then that money will go towards equipment, food, drink and future meets.
ZZap Live is this time next month, we already have had a good amount of volunteers to help us with looking after Amiga section at Kenilworth, Chris Wilkins has informed me that tickets are low if you are thinking of visiting, however we have secured the smaller room (where talks was at last Zzap) and we will put a good spread of Amiga’s out and have a great time. Volunteers will also receive some money and this will happen after the next SWAG meet.
We are yet to find a date for the next Exeter meet, we actually haven’t spoken much at all but as we explore what we do next, we still fully support other meets around the country and some welsh members have spoken about a spin off meet over the bridge.
